Police And Food Standards Agency Investigate Death

Greater Manchester Police and the Food Standards Agency are conducting a joint investigation into the death of an 18-year-old woman in Manchester city centre.

Police said the woman died in hospital on Monday after she collapsed on Withy Grove in Manchester at about 20:30 last Friday.

According to police inquiries the woman is believed to have been out for a meal in the Great Northern Warehouse before she collapsed.

It is thought she may have suffered an allergic reaction.

Police and the Food Standards Agency are investigating the "exact circumstances" surrounding the woman's death.
