Hull Theatre Bailed Out For Eighth Time
An emergency grant of £250,000 has been given to Hull's Truck theatre as it struggles with financial difficulties.
The money has been awarded by Arts Council England and is to cover 2014-15. To date the theatre has received eight Arts Council bailouts since 2011.
It is understood the theatre said the money will secure their operations "for the foreseeable future".
Production Due To Begin On New ZX Spectrum
A new production of a remodelled ZX Spectrum is set to begin at a Nottinghamshire factory.
The console has been developed by Luton-based Retro Computers and will be manufactured by SMS Electronics. The machine will come with 1,000 pre-installed games and is due to go onsale in April.
Summerhouse Roof Ripped Off By Suspected Tornado
The roof of a summerhouse was blown some 300ft by a suspected tornado in Cornwall.
It is understood the tiles and guttering were torn from the house in Park Bottom in Illogan on Tuesday night.
It is not known that it a tornado that caused the damage but experts have said that it is "plausible" that a tornado could be whipped up during a severe storm.

BECTU Slams 'Incomprehensible' Arts Cuts
The broadcast union, BECTU, is warning of redundancies and company closures across Britain on top of thousands of job losses in the arts, as the scale of the Arts's Council cuts becomes clear. The Arts Council of England announced that more than 200 arts organisations will lose their funding, in addition to more than 300 facing a cut in real terms.

RAF Tornado Crashes In Scotland
An RAF Tornado fighter has crashed in Argyll, police have confirmed. It has been reported the aircraft crashed into a hillside near the Rest of Be Thankful pass at Arrochar, about two miles to the west of Loch Lomond at around 11.45am.

An RAF Tornado jet has crashed near a practice bombing range in Lincolnshire. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) confirmed the incident took place shortly after 1100 BST at Holbeach Range.
