Bolts To Be Replaced On 'Cheesegrater' Skyscraper

A third large steel bolt has fractured and fallen from the 'Cheesegrater' building in central London, British Land confirmed.

Two bolts fell from the skyscraper last year, with on hitting the ground and the second contained within the building.

British Land said that a number of bolts are to be replaced on the building following an investigation by contractor Laing O'Rouke and structural engineers Arup.

The investigation is believed to have found that a limited number of bolts needed to be replaced, but there had "no adverse effect on the structural integrity of the building".
