Appeal For Witnesses Following Serious Crash In Redruth
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in Redruth in which two elderly people were injured.
A silver Ford B-Max was travelling up Buller Hill on the B3297, heading out of the town, when it was involved in a collision with a silver Peugeot 306 and a white Leyland DAF lorry at around 5.30pm on Friday 9 January 2015.
The two elderly occupants of the Ford B-Max, from Helston, were trapped in their vehicle.
They were cut free from the car by the fire service and taken by ambulance to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, in Truro.
The 80-year-old male driver is reported to be suffering from serious chest injuries.
The occupants of the other vehicles, registered to Redruth, were not injured as a result of the collision.
The road was closed for six hours while the lorry was being recovered.
Renewed Appeal Over Una Crown Murder
Police investigating the murder of Wisbech pensioner Una Crown are urging members of the public to come forward with information.
The plea comes two years after the 86-year-old's body was discovered in her bungalow in Magazine Lane on Sunday, 13th January, 2013.
She had not been seen alive since Friday, 11th January, but had spoken to a friend over the phone at about 5pm on the Saturday, the day before she was discovered by police.
A post-mortem examination revealed she died as a result of stab wounds to her neck and chest. Her body was then set on fire in an apparent attempt to disguise her injuries and destroy evidence.
A £10,000 reward from the independent charity Crimestoppers is still on offer for information which leads to the arrest and successful conviction of Mrs Crown's killer.
Bouygues UK To Build 150 New Homes
Bouygues UK has been appointed to develop 150 new homes in the London Borough of Westminster.
Appointed by Taylor Wimpey, the work on Paddington Exchange, which is due to start this month, will see the transformation of a former car park into a new mixed-use, which will provide a combination of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom affordable and private homes in the capital.
The site will consist of four residential blocks varying in height: with the lowest at eight storeys and the largest standing at 14 storeys high.
Four new commercial units will also be included as part of the development, which is expected to take around two years to deliver and will be handed over in three phases.
