Fire Service Urge People To Check Safety Of Christmas Lights
The Fire Service has warned people to make sure their Christmas tree lights are safe after three people had to be rescued from a house fire in Doncaster, thought to have been caused by faulty lights.
Fire crews were called to an address in Dixon Crescent in Doncaster, where firefighters using breathing apparatus rescued three people from the building.
It is understood two of the people rescued were neighbours who had entered the house to try and save the female occupant.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said an initial investigation suggests faulty Christmas tree lights caused the blaze, and urged people to check the safety of lights they are using.
