British-Irish Council To Meet On Isle Of Man

The Secretary of State will join leaders from across the UK as well as Ireland's Taoiseach Enda Kenny on the Isle of Man, for a meeting of the British-Irish Council.

The council was established as part of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement, and involves representatives from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Britain.

The official topic of the meeting is how the UK and Ireland can "advance a digital agenda", however it is understood that a number of additional meetings will be held during the event.
