'No Evidence' Of Disturbance Despite Reports Of 'Loud Bang'

Greater Manchester Police said they have found no evidence of any disturbance following a number of reports of a "loud bang" on Monday night.

It is understood a fire crew in the city attended a call out in the Weaste area in Salford at about 22:30, but could not find any sign of a fire or disturbance.

A number of people took to social media saying they had heard a "loud bang" in the Salford area, and expressing concern for anyone who might have been hurt. However, following an investigation police said they were unable to find any evidence of anything having taken place.
