75 New Jobs In Furniture Firm Expansion

Seventy five new jobs are to be created in Rhondda Cynon Taf, with the expansion of an office furniture business.

Orangebox in Nantgarw is to open a new headquarters, design centre and factory. The 75 new jobs will take it's total workforce to 250.

The company operates worldwide and has bases in Huddersfield and Hengoed.

Jobs Saved By Eurofighter Contract

A new contract to upgrade the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft has saved up to 500 jobs at defence firm Selex ES in Edinburgh.

The contract will see the firm develop a new radar system for the fighter plane.

The Eurofighter plane is produced in collaboration between BAE Systems, Airbus in France and Selex parent company Finmeccanica of Italy.

'Pick-Up Artist' Denied Entry To UK

The Home Office has barred controversial American "pick-up artist" Julien Blanc, from entering the UK.

Blanc travels the world holding seminars which claim to reveal the secrets of how to "pick-up" women, however his methods have attracted wide-spread criticism.

A petition to deny him a UK visa for his planned tour, due to begin in February 2015, received more than 120,000 signatures.

Sky News Cameraman Killed In Egypt
A Sky news cameraman has been shot and killed while covering the ongoing violence in Cairo, Egypt. The broadcaster confirmed the death of 61-year-old Mick Deane on Wednesday. Mr Dean had worked for Sky for 15 years. In a statement, Head of Sky News, John Ryley, paid tribute to an "experienced journalist" and a "much-loved colleague".
