CoE Propose Primary School Savings Clubs
The Church of England has proposed establishing a network of savings clubs in primary schools in an effort to raise children's financial awareness.
The church says that the clubs could be run by credit unions, allowing children to save small, regular amounts of money, while also helping to run the clubs by working as junior cashiers or bank managers.
No Criminal Action Over Salmond Effigies
Sussex police have said that no criminal action is to be taken over effigies of former Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond at a town's bonfire celebrations.
Police investigated a number of complaints after two effigies of Mr Salmond were revealed at the Lewes' annual event.
However, police have said that they have been advised that "no criminal offence had occurred".
Police Appeal For Missing Mother And Son
Police in Dundee have appealed for help in tracing a mother and son who have been missing for almost two weeks.
38-year-old Clare Justice and her six-year-old son, Kelvin, were last seen on 02 November in the Craigie area of the city.
Mrs Justice is described as white, 5ft 5in tall, with long, straight, fair hair. She has access to a black Mercedes car.
Kelvin is 3ft 8in tall, of slim build, and has short brown hair.
Mrs Justice is understood to have connections in London, and Police Scotland is working closely with the Metropolitan Police on the case.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.

Woman Arrested At Heathrow On Terrorism Charges
A 25-year-old woman has been arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of terrorism offences. It is understood that the woman was travelling with her one-year-old son when officers arrested her as she disembarked a flight from Turkey. Police said her charges relate to offences in Syria.

The man who will replace Sir John Stephens as the next Metropolitan police commissioner has been named today. Sir Ian Blair, 51, on Oxford graduate who has 30 years experience with the Met, served as a constable, sergeant and inspector in both uniform and CID in Central London.

The release of a man convicted of killing three unarmed police officers in 1966 has been described as "sickening". Harry Roberts, now aged 78, has been released from prison after serving 48 years for 1966 murders of three unarmed police officers in Shepherd's Bush in west London.

Major Police Hunt Launched After Boy Taken From Hospital
A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.
