SECTU Arrest Slough Man Over Financing Terrorism
Thames Valley Police have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of financing overseas terrorist acts.
Officers from the South East Counter Terrorism Unit (SECTU) made the arrest in Slough, in relation to conflicts abroad and stressed that it was not done in response to any immediate threat to public safety.
A police spokesperson said: "We will continue to work with our partners and community in the interests of public safety and I would ask that we all continue to discourage anyone from attempting to travel to Syria or other areas of conflict."

European Arrest Warrant Issued For Teacher
A European arrest warrant has been issued for Jeremy Forrest, the maths teacher who travelled to France with missing schoolgirl Megan Stammers. 30-year-old Forrest and 15-year-old Megan have not been seen since they crossed the Channel from Dover to France on 20 September.

Counter Terrorism Police Arrest Two In Luton
Two men have been arrested by the Counter Terrorism Command unit of the Metropolitan Police. The men, said to be aged 37 and 61, were arrested in Luton on suspicion of supporting a banned organisation. Police said the men are currently in custody and are being held at Bedfordshire police station.

Man Sent Back To Jail After 16 Years On The Run
A man who absconded from an open prison in Chichester in July 1999 has been recaptured and returned to prison. Spencer White, now 39, from the Witterings area of Chichester, absconded from Ford Prison 16 years ago, after being sentenced to three years for kidnapping an adult. Police stopped White at Lanzarote airport on September 19.

Inquest Rules Mother Died Of 'Cannabis Poisoning'
An inquest into the death of a 31-year-old Dorset woman has ruled that she died of "cannabis poisoning". A post-mortem examination found that Gemma Moss, from Boscombe, Bournemouth, had moderate to high levels of the drug in her system when she died. It is thought that she suffered a cardiac arrest triggered by the drug.
