Rebekah Gibbs Dies Aged 41

Actor Rebekah Gibbs has died from cancer aged 41.

Ms Gibbs appeared in BBC medical drama Casualty between 2004 and 2006.

It is understood that she had left the show to have a family, receiving her cancer diagnosis in 2008.

The actor's agent Bedfield and Ward tweeted the news, saying: "Darling Rebekah Gibbs, a true inspiration and dazzling light, never to be forgotten."

Actor Warren Clark Died Aged 67

Actor Warren Clark has died aged 67.

Best known for his role in Dalziel and Pascoe, Mr Clark also appeared in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange in 1971.

The actors agent confirmed that Mr Clark died following a short illness.

Man Calls Emergency Services Over Anthrax Fears

Parts of a West Lothian town were closed after a man called emergency services believing he had anthrax.

It is understood that a 32-year-old man called emergency services to his home in Gideon Court, Bathgate, just before 7am on Wednesday morning.

The man who made the called has been taken to hospital but emergency services had stressed that no-one in the house had anthrax.

Ofcom Fines BBC £150k Over Prank Calls
The BBC has been fined £150,000 by Ofcom over prank phone calls made by Russell Brand (pictured) and Jonathan Ross to actor Andrew Sachs. The sum related to the two episodes of the Russell Brand show broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on the 18 and 25 October 2008. In its report, the media regulator found the broadcasts had breached it's Broadcasting Code.

Colin Firth - King Of The Golden Globes
British actor Colin Firth was the 'King' of the Golden Globes last night after he won the Best Actor in a Drama award for his role in The King's Speech. The 50-year-old actor won the award for his role as King George VI in the film, but although The King's Speech was nominated in seven categories, it failed to win any other awards.

Lily Allen Suffers Miscarriage
Pop singer Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage, it has been confirmed. The 22-year-old announced that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend, Ed Simons, 37, from dance duo the Chemical Brothers in December. At the time, her spokesperson said that the pregnancy was in a very early stage and asked for the singer's privacy to be respected.

Best memorial service held in Manchester
A memorial to football legend George Best has been held at Manchester Cathedral. Family and friends of the Manchester United and Northern Ireland player were joined by a whole host of footballing stars and celebrities to pay tribute to the star who died in November.

Brand Quits Radio 2 As Prank Call Row Continues
Russell Brand has resigned from his Radio 2 job as a row continues over prank calls made to 'Fawlty Towers' actor Andrew Sachs on the show.
