Police Begin News Searches In Rui Li Murder Investigation

Police investigating the murder of Rui Li in Bournemouth in May have launched a search operation in Hampshire.

The body of Ms Li (44) was found on 30th May, a week after she went missing. A post-mortem found she died from a blow to the head.

Police have refused to comment on the searches except to say they are looking for items that could be "important to the ongoing inquiry.

Ms Li's husband and his son have both been charged in connection with her death.

60-year-old Pierre Legris, her husband, has denied a charge of murder, and a charge of bigamy. 26-year-old Jonathan Legris also denies assisting an offender.

And a 65-year-old woman, Irene Erosa Smith, has denied perverting the course of justice.

A trial is due to begin on 5th January.

Nine appear in court over £53m Securitas raid
Nine people have appeared in court charged in connection with the £53 million robbery at a Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent. Six men and three women appeared at the Old Bailey via video link at the plea and case management hearing. The case has now been adjourned until October 3 and a provisional trial date has been set for April 16 next year.
