Teenager Jailed For Nine Years For Shooting Girlfriend

A 15-year-old boy who killed his girlfriend has been detained for nine years.

Shereka Fab-Ann Marsh, 15, was shot in the neck by a single bullet from a counterfeit 1930s Italian Beretta pistol in Hackney, in March.

The schoolboy was found guilty by an Old Bailey of manslaughter and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

When arrested he told the police that it was an accident and insisted that he had no reason to hurt her.

He admitted that he had been standing in front of her waving it, but did not think it was loaded.
