Ambulance Service Accused Of Leaving Body Next Bins Overnight

The East of England Ambulance Service has been accused of leaving a body overnight next to dustbins.

The ambulance service has refused to acknowledge if the incident happened, despite their chief executive, Anthony Marsh, having issued an apology, saying it was "very sorry for what happened"; however, Mr Marsh would not clarify exactly what it was he was apologising for.

According to reports the body is believed to have been that James Harrison, who was found in Ponts Hill in Littleport, Cambridgeshire on 24 September.

Police ruled that Mr Harrison's death was not suspicious and the body was released to the coroner.

An investigation is underway into claims that the ambulance service left Mr Harrison's body next to dustbins overnight.
