British Woman Dies After Trek To Everest Base Camp

A 49-year-old British woman has been found dead in a hotel room in Khumjung in Nepal.

It is understood that the woman was on a trekking expedition with her daughter and had begun to experience breathing difficulties after returning from a hike to the Everest base camp.

The woman's body is to be airlifted to Kathmandu for a post-mortem examination.

The Foreign Office have said that have been informed of the death.

Baby Death Mother Named
The British woman charged with causing the death of her newborn baby in a hotel room in Crete has been named. Leah Andrew, from London, has been charged with infantide after being arrested in Malia on Tuesday. Ms Andrew was rushed to hospital by local residents after giving birth alone in her room.

The general synod supports the legislation to fast-track the revision of the latest proposals and to reduce the time given to individual dioceses. Disabled Woman Found Dead In Car
A disabled woman found stabbed to death in her car near her home in Harlow, Essex, has been named. Jennifer Macaree was discovered in Hadley Grange on the outskirts of Harlow early on Saturday. Essex Police confirmed she was in the driver's seat of her black Vauxhall Corsa in a parking area near her flat shortly after 3am.

Man arrested over canal torso find
A man has been arrested following the discovery of a woman's torso in a suitcase which was floating in London's Regent's Canal. Police were called to the Regents Canal in Islington on Saturday after a group of teenagers spotted a suitcase floating in the water. They managed to pull the case from the water and discovered a human torso inside.

Woman Convicted Of Killing Elderly Husband
A woman in her 50s has been convicted of killing her elderly husband at the Old Bailey on Wednesday. Leonora Sinclair, 50, of Windward Close, Enfield was found guilty at the Old Bailey of the manslaughter of her 73-year old husband. The London Ambulance Service called police at approx 10.
