LU Workers To Strike Next Week
London Underground workers will stage a 48-hour strike next week, the RMT union has announced.
The strike is the latest in a long-running dispute over staff cuts, with the union advising its members not to book on for any shifts between 21:00 next Tuesday and 20:59 hrs on Thursday.
The strike has been planned to coordinate with industrial action also being taken by council workers and civil servants.

'Boris Bikes' Staff To Stage 48-Hour Strike
Members of the Rail Maritime and Transport union, who maintain London's "Boris Bikes", are to hold a 48-hour strike next week in a dispute over pay and conditions. The workers, employed by Serco to move bikes around the city and maintain them, will stage a walkout on the evening of Sunday 11 August after voting in favour of the action.

Postal Strike Called Off
A planned strike by postal workers for tomorrow has been called off as the Communications Workers' Union considers a deal offered by Royal Mail. The union executive is considering the offer of a 6.9% pay rise, and, if accepted, it will be put to a ballot of the union's 130,000 members.
