Search Widened For Missing Woman

Police in Scotland have confirmed a search for a missing Aberdeen woman is to be widened.

Kelli Ferris, 40, was last seen three weeks ago. She was spotted on Castle Street in the city, close to the sheriff court, on the evening of Wednesday 10 September.

Ms Ferris is 5ft 4in, of slim build, with shoulder length red/ginger hair. When last seen, she was wearing dark trousers, a blue jacket and had a brown handbag.

It is understood Ms Ferris has a medical condition which requires medication.

Police have said they are widening the search for the missing woman, and looking at areas off bus routes leading from where she was seen.

Anyone who has information about her disappearance is asked to contact police on 101.

Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.

On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.

Riot Police Deployed As G8 Protesters Occupy Former Police Station
Some 100 riot police have been deployed in central London as protestors take to the streets to demonstrate ahead on the G8 summit being held in Northern Ireland next week. Officers were sent to Soho, where protesters are thought to have occupied a former police station on Beak Street.

Search Continues For Missing Man In Gorilla Costume
Concern is growing for the safety of a man who has not been seen since leaving a Halloween party on Friday dressed in a gorilla costume. Craig McCaffrey, 24, was last seen at around 8:45pm after leaving a fancy dress night out he’d been at with his brother and two friends at the 02 in Eglinton Street, Glasgow.
