Thai Police 'Close To Arrest' In British Tourist Murder Case

Thai police say they are "close to making an arrest" in their investigation into the murders of British tourists Hannah Witheridge and David Miller.

Ms Witheridge (23) and Mr Miller (24) were found dead on the island of Koh Tao on 15th September.

It was reported last week that Thai police had not been able to match DNA found at the murder scene with any of the large number of suspects they had interviewed.

It is understood police now believe three men were involved in the attack on the British tourist, with a heavy garden hoe and a piece of wood, identified as the murder weapons.

Thai police say that are trying to find a man who is known to have left the island on the day the bodies were discovered. He is thought to be "hiding" in Bangkok.
