Missing Builder Prime Suspect In Alice Gross Investigation

Police investigating the disappearance of 14-year-old Alice Gross have made Arnis Zalkalns their prime suspect.

The 41-year-old Latvian builder went missing a week after the last sighting of Alice Gross.

Mr Zalkalns had been convicted of murder in Latvia, and previously arrested in London on suspicion of indecently assaulting a 14-year-old girl in 2009.

Police have written to Latvian authorities requesting the full details of his murder conviction.

Police first appealed for information on Mr Zalkalns as it had been discovered he had travelled the same route as Alice Gross on the day she disappeared, 28th August.

Police say that he is now their prime suspect.

A £20,000 reward is being offered for anyone who has information that leads detectives to find Alice.
