Humberside Police Name Helicopter Crash Victims

Humberside Police have named the two men who died in a helicopter crash on Tuesday.

Captain Brian Bridgman, 50, from Canterbury in Kent was piloting the aircraft, and John Kent, 50, from Romford in London was the passenger.

The Bell JetRanger was flying from West Lothian to Nottinghamshire when it crashed into the sea at Flamborough off the East Yorkshire coast at about 13:40 on Tuesday.

An Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) inquiry is underway, but heavy fog and strong winds have delayed attempts to recover the aircraft, which is understood to be 200ft below the cliff top at Selwick Bay.
