Appeal After Man Fatally Stabbed In West London

A murder investigation has been launched into the death of a man in west London.

Police said that 59-year-old Tony Charlery was stabbed in the neck on Portobello Road in Notting Hill, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It is believed that Mr Charlery was trying to run away from his attackers when he was stabbed. He died at the scene.

Prior to the attack, police say Mr Charlery had gone to the Mau Mau bar in Portobello, but was only there for a short time. He is thought to have been attacked as he tried to leave the bar.

According to officers, they believe two local men are responsible for Mr Charlery's murder and have urged to the local community to come forward with any information.
