Start-Up Food Firm To Create New Jobs
Thirty five new jobs are to be created at a new niche and healthy snack food factory in Gwynedd.
Start-up firm Brighter Foods is to establish its base in Tywyn and said they hope to capitalise on the demand for gluten free, sugar reduced, low fat, diet control and sports nutrition products.
The new company is to establish itself not far from the Halo Foods Factory, which shut down in December, with the loss of 105 jobs.
Supported by the Welsh government, Brighter Foods say that they hope to be able to expand in 2015 and created more new jobs.

Grimsby factory closure sees 600 jobs axed
Around 600 jobs are to go at Unilever after the company revealed that it had failed to find a bidder for its Grimsby factory. The plant, part of Unilever Ice Cream & Frozen Food division which makes Birds Eye Frozen Food, will close following an 11-month review "involving extensive discussions with employees".

New Black Cab Factory Creates 1,000 New Jobs
Up to 1,000 new jobs are to be created in Coventry in a new taxi plant, the London Taxi Company (LTC) has announced. It is understood that the new £250 million factory will focus on production of the next generation of electric and low-emission vehicles. The first new vehicles are expected to leave the new Ansty Park site in 2017.

Pontin's To Create 2,000 New Jobs
Holiday camp chain Pontin's has announced it is to create 2,000 new jobs as it redevelops its holiday centres. Owners Ocean Parcs confirmed it will be investing £50 million in its six UK sites. The new posts will include catering, retail and bar staff as well as Blue Coats and will involve a mixture of full time, part time and seasonal positions.
