Search Operation Launched For Missing Snorkeler

A large-scale search operation has been launched on the Helford River, near Falmouth, for a missing snorkeler.

The snorkeler, a man aged in his 20s, is understood to have been missing since Thursday evening.

According to reports, the man had gone out alone at about 19:00, wearing a dry suit and a weight belt. His family raised the alarm at 23:30 when he failed to return home.

Falmouth Coastguard is coordinating the search, which also involves the RNLI, police and a police helicopter.

Police in Havering are appealing for the public's assistance in tracing a missing man. Shane Gooding, 29, was admitted to Queens Hospital, Romford on Thursday, 14th November after attempting to self harm. He was last seen at the hospital at approximately 22:00hrs on Friday, 15 November when he went outside for a cigarette.

Police Release Arrested Man Vehicle Picture In Missing Girl Search
Dyfed-Powys Police have released a picture of a blue Land Rover Discovery belonging to a man who has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of April Jones. She was last seen by another child near her home in the Bryn Y Gog estate in Machynlleth, mid Wales, at around 7pm on Monday.

Body Found In River Following Search For Missing Boy
A body has been found from the River Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire by police searching for a missing boy, believed to be 15-years-old. The boy went missing in the river near Church Lane in Harford on Thursday afternoon. The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Mystery deepens over ‘Piano Man’
The investigation into the identity of the ‘Piano Man’ is continuing today. The National Missing Persons Helpline confirmed that they have received hundreds of calls and e-mails offering suggestions of who the mysterious man might be, but the identity of the man remains unknown.

Life For Gardening Murderer
A gardener has been jailed for life after being found guilty of the murder of 54-year-old Lynda Casey from Coulsdon in Surrey. Ms Casey's body was found by police search teams in an area of Banstead Woods in Surrey known as Great Solom’s Wood on 13 August 2009. A post mortem examination showed she had suffered multiple head injuries.
