Prince William To Become Air Ambulance Pilot

Kensington Palace has announced that Prince William is to join the East Anglian Air Ambulance from next spring.

The Duke of Cambridge will take on the role of an air ambulance pilot, working both day and night shifts, while also continuing to undertake duties on behalf of the Queen.

The Duke is said to be "hugely excited and motivated" by the role.

A spokesperson said: "The Duke sees this as a true form of public service, helping people in their most difficult times.

"He regards his work with the RAF search and rescue force as having been an exceptional privilege and the Duke wanted to make his own contribution to the outstanding work of the air ambulance service."
