Driver Cut Free After Car Smashes Into Pub Toilets

A man is being treated in hospital for leg injuries after the car he was driving left the road and smashed through a wall into a pub's toilets.

It is understood that the car went over a wall and smashed into the Longford House Beefeater in Cannock at about 01:35 on Monday morning.

Police say the driver, a man aged in his 30s, was trapped in the vehicle for around 90 minutes. Emergency blood supplies were needed at the scene as fire crews worked to cut the driver free from the wreckage.

An ambulance spokesperson said that the man was "extremely fortunate" that no-one was was fatally hurt in the crash.

Two more arrested over attempted car bombings
Police investigating the attempted car bombings in London and Glasgow airport have arrested two more people. Two men, aged 28 and 25, were arrested in the Paisley area, west of Glasgow on Sunday night Five people are still being held in connection with the attacks, but it is believed that at least one suspect remains on the run.

Man Injured After Wall Collapses On Top Of Car
A man in his 60's has been injured after the wall of a house collapsed on top of his car in Birmingham. The incident occurred in Richmond Hill, Oldbury, at approximately 5.30pm on 27 May. The second storey wall of a neighbouring house collapsed on top of the vehicle while the man was inside. Emergency services attended the scene.
