Mother Admits Killing Mikaeel Kular

The mother of three-year-old Mikaeel Kular has pleaded guilty to killing her son.

Rosdeep Adekoya, 34, admitted the reduced charge of culpable homicide at the High Court in Edinburgh.

She had initially claimed Mikaeel disappeared, sparking a major police search.

The boy's body was found in woodland in Kirkcaldy, Fife, two days after he was first said to be missing.

The court heard Mikaeel died on the Tuesday 14 January from injuries inflicted on him the previous Sunday.

Mother Of Mikaeel Kular Charged With Murder
Rosdeep Kular has been charged with the murder of her three-year-old Mikaeel at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today. Prosecuors say she has also been charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice. The body of Mikaeel Kular was found on Friday night about 20 miles from his home in Edinburgh.

Mikaeel Kular's Cause Of Death Exposed
Mikaeel Kular's cause of death was a "peritonitis and infra-abdominal hemorrhage" (pending investigation). The three-year-old was found on woodland behind a house in Kirkaldy in mid-January. His mother Rosdeep Kular, 33, has been charged with his murder.

Search Continues For Missing Three-Year-Old
Police in Edinburgh are continuing to search for missing three-year-old Mikaeel Kular. The boy has not been seen since Wednesday night when he was put to bed at around 21:00 in the flat he lives in with his family at Ferry Gait Crescent.
