Trial Of Former X Factor Judge Collapses
Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos's case of drug allegations has collapsed in court.
The former N-Dubz singer was accused of brokering a cocaine deal for an undercover reporter, Mazher Mahmood, however the trial was thrown out after the judge believed Mr Mahmood had "lied".
Judge Alistair McCreath told the jury that the case could not continue because there were strong grounds to believe he had not told the truth.
Outside Southwark Crown Court, Miss Contostavlo, said: "I have never dealt drugs and never been involved in taking or dealing cocaine.
"Mahmood has now been exposed by my lawyers openly lying to the judge and jury. These lies were told to stop crucial evidence going before the jury."
The Sun has suspended Mr Mahmood pending an immediate internal investigation.
