Wedding Venue Fined Over Guest's Death

The Sully Sports and Leisure Club in the Vale of Glamorgan has been fined £20,000 following the death of a guest.

62-year-old Bob Kemp fell and broke his neck when he stumbled over a low wall at the club in June 2012.

The patio lights at the wedding venue were not working.

Mr Kemp was taken to University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff but never recovered from his injuries.

According to reports, Mr Kemp fell just four feet onto grass, but the fall resulted in a broken neck.

Newport Crown Court fined the club £20,000 for breaking health and safety laws in failing to provide adequate lighting.

'Game On' For Malaria Stricken Striker
