Doosan Babcock To Create 380 Jobs Across The UK

A total of 380 jobs are to be created by Doosan Babcock across the UK.

Two hundred and sixty six jobs are to be created by the company, which provides services to the energy and pharmaceutical sectors, in Renfrewshire, where it will establish a new process engineering centre.

A further 114 jobs will be created at the company's sites around the UK.

The firm is investing £4.5m in its new centre to be built in Renfrewshire, and it expects to have all new jobs filled by 2018.

The investment in being supported with £1.5m Regional Selective Assistance from Scottish Enterprise.

Pontin's To Create 2,000 New Jobs
Holiday camp chain Pontin's has announced it is to create 2,000 new jobs as it redevelops its holiday centres. Owners Ocean Parcs confirmed it will be investing £50 million in its six UK sites. The new posts will include catering, retail and bar staff as well as Blue Coats and will involve a mixture of full time, part time and seasonal positions.

Amazon To Create 1,000 New Jobs
One thousand new jobs are to be created at Amazon's distribution centres across the UK, the internet retailer has announced. The jobs are to be created in the coming months across the firm's eight distribution and customer service centres. The company said that it could not yet provide a regional breakdown of where the new jobs will be created.

Heathrow Announces Expansion Plans
Heathrow today announced an improved plan to expand the UK's hub airport that will create more than 100,000 new UK jobs and at least £100bn of UK economic benefits by connecting all of the UK to global growth. The figures are part of Heathrow's revised expansion plans that will be submitted tomorrow to the Airports Commission.
