Parts Of Reading Left Without Water For Second Time

A fault at a pumping station has left up to 26,000 homes and businesses in the Reading area without water for a second time.

The fault at Earley reservoir happened at about 06:00 on Wednesday morning, Thames Water has said.

It is the same reservoir where a pump failure left parts of Reading and Wokingham without water for almost nine hours 10 days ago.

Properties affected are in the postcode areas RG1, RG2, RG6 and RG7.

Thames Water have said that they don't expect the problem to last as long as the last fault.
