Highways Agency Given 18 Months To Reduce Pollution
The Highways Agency has been given an additional 18 months to propose alternative solutions to reduce pollution on a 32 mile stretch of the M1 in Derbyshire and part of the M3 in Surrey.
A plan to impose a 60mph speed limit has been put on hold to allow the agency to devise new alternatives.
However, it is understood that if none can be found, a peak time speed limit of 60mph could be enforced.
