Woman Gives Birth In Birmingham City Centre
A woman has given birth to a girl outside a Primark store in Birmingham city centre.
Reports say the woman was surrounded by a crowd of people who cheered and showered her with money as paramedics were helping the new mum.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service was called just after 2pm by several citizens who were in New Street when the young mum went into labour on Wednesday.
The woman is reported to have shouted "the baby's coming" and later waved and encouraged people cheering her to film her as she was helped into the ambulance.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the mother and baby were "OK" and had been taken to City Hospital for check-ups.
