Second Weather Warning Issued For England
The Met Office has issued a new weather warning for areas of England as 20mm of rain is expected to fall in the coming hours.
It added that the conditions will bring a risk of damage and disruption from "potentially intense thundery downpours".
In addition to the heavy rain, hail, surface water flooding and strong, gusting winds are expected to hit various regions.
It is the second yellow "be aware" warning issued for England in less than a week.
The affected areas are Yorkshire and Humber, the East and West Midlands, the East of England and London and south east England. It is understood the warnings will remain in place until 8pm this evening (9 June).

Level 3 'Amber' Weather Warning Issued
The Met Office has issued a Level 3 warning for cold weather and icy conditions for the next three days across England. According to the forecaster, an amber warning is triggered when "we are experiencing weather which breaches any of the thresholds. This stage requires social and healthcare services to target specific actions at high-risk groups".
