'Snap Checks' Ordered Over 'Trojan Horse' Schools
David Cameron is to ask Ofsted to introduce 'snap' inspections in schools following revelations that certain schools in Birmingham may be being covertly taken over by hardline Muslim extremists.
The Ofsted report, which investigated 21 schools in Birmingham, is expected to say that five did not protect children from extremism and that some teachers had "arranged shows of cultural inclusivity" when they became aware that an inspection was imminent. It also found some classes with segregated boys and girls.
Prime Minister demanded a "robust response" from Ofsted and warned of proposals to introduce "snap" inspections in schools.
Mr Cameron is also to meet senior Cabinet ministers to discuss the revelations.
