British Terrorist Samantha Lewthwaite Reported Seen In Kenya
Kenya is investigating reports that British terror suspect Samantha Lewthwaite, best known as the 'White Widow', has been sighted in the country.
The announcement follows reports that an unknown woman was given a police escort to visit a Kenyan army base in Somalia, before disappearing after immigration officers blocked her entry.
Officials said that an unknown woman who said she was working for a United Nations agency and wanted to visit a camp belonging to the Kenya Defence Forces in Somalia but at the Kiunga border post, her entry appeal was rejected by customs officials.
The Kenyan army is investigating whether the woman is Ms Lewthwaite and, ifso, why she intended to visit the Kenyan army camp. Lamu Police Commander Leonard Omollo confirmed she had used documents showing a different identity.
Mrs Lewthwaite was reported to be linked to the attack in the Westgate shopping centre in Nairoby, Kenya, and the country sought an international warrant of arrest.
Her husband Germaine Lindsay was one of the four bombers who carried out the 7 July 2005 bombings in London, when 52 people were killed and hundreds more injured. He died in a suicide attack.

Kenyan rape report concludes 'insufficient evidence'
A Royal Military Police special inquiry into the key findings of a three-year investigation into allegations of rape by British soldiers whilst training in Kenya, has concluded that there is insufficient evidence for criminal prosecutions. In 2003, a criminal investigation was launched into over 2,000 allegations of rape over a 55 year period.

A leading British gems expert has reportedly been killed in an attack by an armed gang in Kenya. Campbell Bridges, 71, is understood to have been attacked by a group of around 20 men, armed with clubs and spears, as he was driving his pick-up truck to his mine, close to Tsavo National Park.

Body find closes M1 near Luton
A stretch of the M1 in Bedfordshire has been closed off after a woman's body was found. Both south and northbound carriages of the motorway have been closed between junctions 10 and 11 near Luton as the scene is investigated. It is understood that a pedestrian may have been struck by traffic.
