Heroin 'Likely' In Peaches Geldof Death
An inquest has revealed that heroin is "likely" to have played a role in the death of Peaches Geldof.
Ms Geldof, 25, was found dead at her home in Kent last month (7 April).
At the time, officers said they were treating her death as "non-suspicious, unexplained and sudden".
A post-mortem was carried out, but the results proved inconclusive. The results of a toxicology report have now been released and reveal that Geldof had the drug in her system.
It was also revealed that Geldof's husband, Tom Cohen, discovered his wife lying slumped on a bed in a spare room of the house. He had arrived at their home with his mother thinking Peaches was asleep after he is said to have been unable to contact her. When he found the couple's 11-month-old son, he told his mother to contact emergency services.
Geldof was the second daughter of musician Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates, who died of a heroin overdose at the age of 41, when Peaches was just 11-years-old. Just hours before Geldof's death, she has posted a photo of herself and her mother to her social network account. Geldof is survived by her husband and two young sons.
