Manchester City Players The Best Paid In Global Sport

Manchester City football players are the best paid team in global sport, according to a report by Sportingintelligence.com, which says that the Premier League team pay an annual average wage of £5.337m to its first-team players, who earns as much as £102.653 per week.

Of the best paid top 10, six of the teams are football clubs, two baseball teams and another two are basketball.

Another four Premier League clubs are in the top 20 figures: Manchester United (8), Chelsea (10), Arsenal (11) and Liverpool (20).

Manchester City, purchased in 2008 by the Abu Dhabi United Group, is followed by Major League Baseball teams, the New York Yankees and LA Dodgers.

The Spanish football clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona take the next two places in the ranking.

The NBA Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls teams and the Bundesliga giant, Bayern Munich are also in the top 10.

Premier League current leader Liverpool award £3.4m per man.

Police Chief's Body Released For Burial
