New DNA Evidence Found In Missing Claudia Lawrence Inquiry
North Yorkshire Police searching for missing Claudia Lawrence who disappeared in 2009 said they have new lines of the inquiry but no prime suspect yet.
The new clues include fingerprints which appeared using advanced techniques which were not available in 2009 and DNA was found on a cigarette butt in her car belonging to the missing 35-year-old chef.
The York woman should have walked to the University of York to start her shift at 6am on the morning of Thursday, March 18, 2009 but never arrived and her father reported her missing the following day.
The case review was launched in October and involved the forensics re-examining her Heworth Road home and re-interviewing family and friends.
