Pair Arrested Over Beach Body Find
Police in Dumfries and Galloway have arrested two people in connection with the discovery of a man's body on a beach last Friday.
The body was identified as that Ian Carruthers (31), who had been missing since 17 January.
Mr Carruthers body was found on the beach at Solway Firth, Portling.
Police say that a 25-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man have been arrested in connection with Mr Carruthers disappearance.

Two Arrested In Beach Body Parts Case
Police investigating the death of a woman, whose severed head and hands were discovered on a Scottish beach earlier this week, have arrested two men. The woman has now been identified as Jolanta Bledaite, 35. She is originally from Alytus in Lithuania.

Police have confirmed that the body found in the Firth of Forth on Sunday is that of missing man Charles McLachlan. Mr McLachlan, 39, went missing from his home in West Lothian on June 10.

Police Appeal For Missing 15-Year-Old
West Yorkshire Police have appealed for help in tracing 15-year-old Umme Habiba Tahir from Bradford. The teenager was last seen in Bradford city centre at about 17:00 on Tuesday, 18 August. She is Asian with dark brown hair which was tied up in a bun. She is described as very petite, around 5ft 2ins tall.

Police investigating the murder of 16-year-old Becky Watts have recovered a laptop, a tablet computer and a mobile phone belonging to the teenager. The Bristol teen was reported missing on 19 February, sparking a major police search operation.
