Police Renew Appeal For Missing Nida Naseer

Police still have no information on the whereabouts of a 19-year-old woman who disappeared from outside her home while putting the bins out.

Nida Naseer has not been seen since around 20:00 on Saturday 28 December. Ms Naseer was not wearing shoes and did not have her phone, money or coat with her when she disappeared.

Gwent Police say that in the weeks following Nida's disappearance they received some 50 reported sightings across the UK but where unable to confirm they were her.

Some 545 lines of inquiry have been pursued by police alongside the collection of 114 statements.

When last seen Nida was wearing jeans and a black top. She had long dark hair at the time of her disappearance and was described as slim and approximately 5ft 3in tall.

Gwent Police have renewed their appeal for information asking anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Ms Naseer to contact them.

Major Police Hunt Launched After Boy Taken From Hospital
A major police hunt has begun after a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour, was taken by his family without consent from Southampton General Hospital. Police said that Ashya King was taken from the hospital by Brett King, 51, and Naghemeh King, 45, on Thursday. It is thought he may have been taken to France.

'Skull Cracker' In Custody In London
Kent Police, in partnership with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, have arrested two men in East London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.
