Lee Rigby Murderers To Be Sentenced

Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale are in court to be sentenced for the murder of soldier Lee Rigby.

Fusilier Rigby was murdered in Woolwich in May last year as he made he was back to his barracks.

29-year-old Adebolajo and 22-year-old Adebowale have been convicted of the murder but sentencing in the case was delayed pending the outcome of a Court of Appeal ruling on the use whole-life terms.

The appeal court ruled in January that judges could continue to use the tariff for the most serious offences.

The judge is to hear a number of victim impact statements before passing sentence.
