UKIP Leader Accepts Debate Challenge

UKIP leader Nigel Farage has said that he can "hardly wait" to debate Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg on the UK's membership of the EU.

Mr Farage has accepted a challenged made by the Lib Dem leader on Thursday.

Mr Clegg said that he was the leader of "the party of 'in'", meaning that his party wished to remain part of the EU, he was the right choice to debate Mr Farage, whose party, UKIP, wants the UK to leave the EU.

Accepting the debate challenge Mr Farage called on David Cameron and Ed Miliband to also be asked join the debate.

Senior Conservatives quit Shadow Cabinet
Senior Conservatives Nicolas Soames and Tim Yeo have announced plans to leave the Shadow Cabinet. The announcement follows party leader Michael Howard’s decision to stand down shortly as party leader. Mr Yeo, the shadow environment and transport secretary, said that he wanted to concentrate on “non-traditional” issues, such as the environment.
