Knife Found In Hairdresser Murder Investigation

Police investigating a fatal stabbing at a Gloucester hairdressers have recovered a knife, which they believe was the murder weapon.

Hollie Gazzard (20) died after being attacked at Fringe Benefits in Southgate Street at around 18:00 on Tuesday.

Police arrested a 22-year-old, believed to be Ms Gazzard's ex-boyfriend, in connection with the attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Announcing the find a police spokesman said: "Yesterday officers searched a building site near to the incident scene and recovered a knife that is believed to have been used during the incident.

"Officers investigating are not looking for any other weapons."

Man killed in Street Clash
A man has died following a street fight in Reading. Another man was seriously injured during the incident that took place in the St Mary’s Butts area of the town at around 4am this morning. Police believe two gangs were involved in the fight. Two men were taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, where one man later died of his injuries.
