Anonymous Note Author Urged To Contact Police
Police have urged the author of an anonymous note, which contained "vital information" about an unsolved murder going back almost 20 years, to contact them.
Fresh appeals were made in November over the death of John Kennedy, who died in February 1997 after a fight at the Railway Arms pub, in Sutton Street, Wapping.
Following the appeals, an anonymous note was handed in to St George's Town Hall in east London.
The note, according to police, contained "vital information that could assist the investigation into John's murder."
Police say that the note contained no contact information but they would " urge this person to contact the incident room".
A £20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and prosecution for the murder of Mr Kennedy, is still available.
