Odyssey to Review DJ Hardwell Gig

The Odyssey Trust is to carry out a review of the events at a concert held at the venue last week.

On Thursday 6 February, 108 young people had to receive treatment for the effects of alcohol, and in some cases, drugs as they attended a gig by Dutch DJ Hardwell.

Attending the scene, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) described the scene was a "major incident" at the time and hospitals across Belfast were put on standby, while extra staff were called in to deal with the large number of casualties.

In a statement, the trust said it will meet with all of the relevant stakeholders involved; assess the preparation and event plan made for the night; the implementation of that plan and the effectiveness of the Odyssey Arena and its partner organisations to deliver that plan.

The review is expected to be completed by Friday 21 February, and will be chaired by the Chief Executive of the Odyssey Trust, Robert Fitzpatrick.

Police are also thought to be meeting Odyssey management.

£20,0000 Reward Offered In Lee Boxell Investigation

A £20,000 reward has been announced for information about a 15-year-old boy who went missing 26 years ago.

The substantial amount is for information leading to the recovery of Lee Boxell's body and the prosecution of those involved.

Lee's father Peter has today also released a recording of a powerful song called 'Where is Lee?' that he sang at the Missing People Carol Service, hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald, in December.

Lee was last seen on Saturday, 10 September 1988 on Sutton High Street.

The original inquiry into Lee's disappearance believed he went to watch a football game at Selhurst Park but he had never previously been to the ground.

The last known sighting of the teenager was on Sutton High Street at 14:20hrs - which would not have given him enough time to get to the football ground for kick-off at 15:00hrs.

A review of the circumstances of his disappearance provided evidence to suggest that Lee used to attend an unofficial youth club in an out-building at St Dunstan's Church, Church Lane, Cheam which was known locally as the 'shed'. It was a place where youngsters could gather to drink and smoke.

Detectives think it very possible that he went to the shed to meet friends that afternoon and came to some harm that day or very shortly afterwards.
