Norkfolk Amazes With The Earliest Footprints Outside Africa

Shores of Happisburg on the Norfolk Coast in the East of England have revealed 800,000 year old human footprints, the earliest evidence of that outside Africa.

Science journal Plos One, published the details, which discovered direct evidence of the earliest known humans in northern Europe.

Footprints which were first identified during a low tide in May last year through to rough seas could be possibly of five people, one adult male and some children, according to Dr Isabelle De Groote of Liberpool John Moores University.

London's Natural Museum will show a video at an exhibition next month which point out how the researchers engaged in a race against the time to record the hollows.
