River Search Resumes For Missing Student

Underwater searches have resumed for missing student Megan Roberts, police have said.

The 20-year-old, from Wetherby, West Yorkshire, has been missing since early Thursday morning following a night out at York nightclub, Popworld.

She was last seen on CCTV at 02:20 along with a group of people near Lendal Bridge, according to North Yorkshire Police.

The group was then seen a short time later, without Miss Roberts.

"We are very concerned for Megan's welfare and are urging the public to help us establish her movements in the early hours of Thursday," a police spokesperson said.

Adding: "Her disappearance and the fact she has not had any contact with her family and friends for almost five days now is extremely unlike her.

"Megan's family are understandably very distressed."
