No Police Action After Nigella Drug Admission
No further police action is to be taken against Nigella Lawson after she admitted to using drugs.
The TV presenter had given the admission during testimony at the fraud trial of her personal assistants. She had admitted taking cocaine while denying being an addict.
The Metropolitan Police say that following the admission, a team had investigated the evidence but decided a prosecution would not be in the public interest, adding that any action could deter witnesses in future trials from giving evidence.
