Met Office Issues Severe Weather Warning
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning, covering most of the country.
It is expected to be in place until 22:00 on Monday night.
The forecaster has warned of falling temperatures, which could lead to icy, frozen surfaces in untreated areas. Some 14 flood warnings also remain in place, which have been issued by the Environment Agency.
Flood warnings, which mean immediate action is required, are in place in the Midlands, North East, South East and South West.
In addition, some 149 flood alerts are in place across every region of England. An alert indicates that flooding is possible.

Flood Alerts Follow Snowfall
The UK Environment Agency has issued flood warnings across Britain, following another night of heavy snow. Some parts of the country woke to over 10cm (4in) of snow on Monday morning. Most areas have been covered in a white blanket at least 5cm deep.

The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings on southern and south west England, south west Wales and the Midlands. Successive bands of heavy rain are moving across England and Wales, and with the ground already saturated, this is likely to lead to property flooding from rivers and surface water as well as disruption to road and rail networks.

Met Office issues further severe weather warning
Another bout of severe weather is expected to hit north-western parts of the UK, mid-week, the Met Office has announced. It is predicted that there will be widespread gales across the UK, but Northern Ireland and many parts of Scotland are likely to be the worst affected, with gusts of wind up to 90mph, expected throughout Tuesday and Wednesday.
