Philpott Children Fund-Raising Group Agrees To Stop
A group raising money in the name of the six children of Mick and Mairead Philpott have been asked to stop by police.
It is understood that the group, Catch Me When I Fall, was investigated after questions over how money raised was being spent. No evidence of any wrongdoing was found.
Despite this police have asked the group to stop fund-raising in the names of the children who died in a house fire in Derby in 2012.
The groups founder Bobby Sutherland has agreed to end his fund-raising, adding that he can account for money not yet spent.
According to police, Mr Sutherland has said that he will inform them when the money has been distributed.

George Awarded Damages Over 'Obsession'
The man cleared of murdering TV presenter Jill Dando after spending seven years in jail has won damages over newspaper claims. Barry George brought the case over claims that he was obsessed with singer Cheryl Cole and newsreader Kay Burley. The claims were made in the Sunday Mirror, the People and on the Daily Mirror website in 2008.

Riot police raided a former police station in central London on Tuesday as anti-G8 protests got underway. The former police station on Beak Street, off Regent Street, had been squatted by anti-capitalist protesters, who later accused police of heavy-handed tactics.

Five police officers arrested in probe
Five police officers have been arrested as part of an investigation into alleged money laundering. The five officers all understood to be serving officers in the Metropolitan Police Force were arrested during raids this morning. Four other people believed to be members of the public have also been arrested.

Police Seize Weapon, Drugs And Money In Vehicle Stop
Police have seized a weapon, drugs and large amount of cash during two vehicle stops in Greenford, north west London. The Metropolitan police said armed officers stopped a VW Passat on Ruislip Road, near Ravenor Park, and a Ford Galaxy on the M4 junction with the Windmill Road, at about 18:30 on Sunday 19 April.

Mexican Tourists Jailed For String Of Robberies
Five men and one woman have been convicted of a series of burglaries in Northern England and Scotland. The six are a group of Mexican tourists who, the court heard, began raiding home’s from Lancaster to Glasgow after they ran out of money during a holiday.
